• Our Tannery shop will be open as usual up until Christmas Eve, with an additional trading day on Monday 22nd December. It will be closed on December 25th and 26th and on the 1st and 2nd January 2025. Opening hours are the usual 7:30am till 2:30pm.
• Our Riverside Market stall will be open its usual hours every day except Christmas Day.
• Farmers Markets are running as usual over up until Christmas. There will be no Christchurch Farmers Market on Saturday 28th of December and no South Christchurch Market on Sunday 29th of December.

We do not currently offer a home delivery service. However, you can choose to collect your order from either our Tannery shop or our Riverside Market stall (up until December 20th at Riverside). We cannot take orders to the farmers market due to limited capacity.

You can collect your order either from our main shop at the Tannery or our stall at the Riverside Market. On the checkout page, you will be asked to select your preferred pickup location. Please note that you will also need to enter your address for billing purposes.
All orders for Christmas (21st-24th Dec) will have to be picked up from our Tannery store.

It depends on each product. Sourdough bread can be kept for a few days at room temperature. Pastries such as Croissants are best eaten on the day they are baked. If eating later, we recommend freezing them. Christmas mince tarts keep for a few days at room temperature. Stollen is best eaten within a week of baking, but will keep for several weeks in it’s sealed packaging. Because we do not use any preservatives, it will naturally become drier over time. This is how it is traditionally eaten in Germany after being left to mature. Gingerbread will keep for a few weeks.

None of our products should be placed in the fridge as this will make them go stale faster. We provide some advice on how best to keep our baked goods in this article.

Absolutely! Head to our Gift Vouchers page and select the amount, the recipient and the date you’d like the voucher to be sent. You’ll be able to either print the voucher yourself, or send it by email. Those vouchers are redeemable online and in our shops.

Please note that vouchers are sold online exclusively.

For Christmas, our most popular item is by far the humble butter croissant. Then it’s up to personal preferences. Stollen, Fruit Mince Tarts and Gingerbread are popular for gifting and sharing with family.

If you can’t order for a specific date, it means either that:

• our shop is closed for pickups (Mondays at the Tannery, except the 23rd December);
• you have placed your order after our cut-off time of 12pm 2 days in advance;
• that this particular date has reached capacity (we have a maximum number of orders we can take in a day).
